The build up to battle scenes are just phenomenal and so vivid and so disturbing, the author superbly paints a picture of the unfolding tension. Prince Edward has one agenda, the Templars have another, and there is yet another circle within the Templars that have yet another.

Crusade : Brethren Trilogy Book 2

I’d read the novel just for the historical insights and flavor. Three books is a long old READ, but worth the effort. The ending left me wondering what will happen to both the individual characters as well as the groups and organizations that are involved in the story.
