His whole memory of Rose and their life together is gone. Now lets talk about Sib, shall we? Although I didn’t find it as magical as East, it’s a solid continuation of the story with new people and places to discover. Children will no doubt be enchanted because children love to hear the same story all over again. I recall it being good but not quite living up to my memories of the original tale, ediht as I don’t know if anything really will live up to those memories it may be wise to add a star in your mind to whatever review I finally do give.

I dare you not to become completely enthralled by Rose’s tale – I promise you, it is impossible! I appreciated this not so much because of the change of pace, but rather because Rose sets edihh after the Bear solely because she let him down.

I’m conflicted about this novel. Only then do they get news of terrible diseases sweeping the lands and that their own son and daughter had disappeared without a trace.

We are experiencing technical difficulties. What Pattou excels at, as a writer, is showing, not telling, which makes this story a true emotional experience. The original story is very akin to Beauty and the Beastbut this particular retelling allows for more trolls, more white bears, more questing For I would go to this impossible land that lay east of the sun and west of the moon. I could see myself reading this to kids or encouraging them to read it on their own. The story follows the usual format of her coming back to save him from the troll queen figure, but throws in a lot of other stuff like mermaids and dragons.
