Super was a 1 best-seller in Erlend Loe’s native Norway. Tor Ketil Solberg translated the novel into English. He does this through very simple meditative introspections – he writes lists to compare his haves and wants, to determine the best time-wasting past-time, he dwells on what other people in his life are doing – usually quite incorrectly, he reads a book on relativity and tries to relate it to his mundane existence by over-simplifying the concepts.

What a delightful book. But it’s also a very good book. But in a nice way.
